FHATUWANI INNOCENT LIDZEBE
Fhatuwani was born in the bushy village of Fefe in Mutale in 12 September more than thirty years ago. In 1993, he started schooling at Fefe primary school and moved to attend Tshixwadza primary school in 1996, where he discover that his real name is Fhatuwani, not Rofhiwa as he used to be called and he was also not aware of the name.
He completed his BA degree in International Relations with University of Venda in 2010. The fact that he graduated the very same day, very same session with the SABC soapie Muvhango’s executive producer Duma Ka Ndlovu’s honoree PhD as a big honor in his academic world.
Formal experience is the only thing that private sector needs the one to possess when looking for job, and that is one of the most prominent reason he look for an opportunity to serve as a news reporter for Makhado FM in 2012, a community radio in Louis Trichardt CBD, and he was later given an opportunity to host the show as a current affairs producer and presenter.
In 2013 to 2014, he worked as a taxi driver and operate in various routes across Vhembe region, and travel as far as the deepest part of Mpumalanga through special trips. Working in a taxi environment gave him more experience to interact with people as he used to meet new people every day. He describe taxi rank as one of that prominent place where a journalist can easily break the news.
Furthermore, he left the industry and join Ngoho News, a local Tshivenda newspaper where he serve as a freelancer for a short period of time before joining Univen Radio as a news anchor in 2014 to date.
Currently he became current affairs producer and now the station’s news editor.
